PAINT SAN JUAN:
3rd Annual Plein Air Paint Festival and Exhibition

This year's third Paint San Juan plein air paint festival and exhibit takes place at the end of August/beginning of September in Historic Downtown San Juan Bautista.

Jurors
Gayle Sleznick, talented watercolor artist, grew up in and lived most of her life in our beautiful National Parks. Her watercolor paintings often depict National Park scenery and many rest in collections all over our nation, Sleznick will select works for display and make the award selection.

The show was juried and awards presented.
  • 1st Place: Rick Steeres "Orchard Gate"
  • 2nd Place: Julia Seelos "Approaching Fog"
  • 3rd Place: Peter Holmsby "San Juan Bautista Mission Steeple"
Artist Timeline
San Juan Historical Society has historical activities and costumed docents the first Saturday of each month. Artists may enjoy painting on these days prior to the event.

Paint: from Wed August 28 7am to Mon Sept 2 2pm
Deliver Wet Canvases: each afternoon of event 3:30-4pm
Unaccepted works pickup: Monday Sep 2
Pickup: November 10 or 12, 10am-4pm
