PAINT SAN JUAN:
2nd Annual Plein Air Paint Festival and Exhibition

This year's Paint San Juan plein air paint festival and exhibit is being held the first week in August in Historic Downtown San Juan Bautista.

Juror
Dr. Jennifer Colby, curator, of Galeria Tonantzin. Jennifer holds Masters Degrees in Art from Fresno State and Theology, Religion and the Arts from the Graduate Theological Union, Berkeley. In May 2001, Jennifer received her Ph.D. in Humanities at the California Institute for Integral Studies in San Francisco.

  • 3rd Place: Don Lonsbrough of Pacific Grove "Main Street San Juan Bautista"
  • Honorable Mention: Carole Belliveau of Hollister "Mission Garden"
  • Honorable Mention: Joe Aki Ouye of Pacific Grove "Veterans' Gate"
  • Juror's Award (one month in 2013 solo exhibit in Galeria Tonantzin's Garden Gallery) Sungwoo Kim of Prunedale "El Camino Real"

Artist Timeline
San Juan Historical Society has historical activities and costumed docents the first Saturday of each month. Artists may enjoy painting on these days prior to the event.
